Why you shouldn't travel to the most popular countries
Of course when deciding on a new place to travel it is easy to pick the place that is the most popular, simply because you know you'll have fun and there is going to be a great hotel. However, with that popularity comes the increase in pricing. The one way many foreign countries build their revenue is by tourist and with tourist comes the uncharge in restaurants and hotels.
The question begins that is would everything be so uncharged if to wasn't so much in the public traveling eye, when realistically the answer is no.
Sometimes it is better to travel to the whole in the wall place to the place that doesn't have so many tourist there all the time. For example, My cousin got married in Santorini, Greece and as beautiful it was there were tourist everywhere especially during the sunset which is what Greece is known for. All you saw were cameras and no one really taking in the moment. Although that is goof for the country that isn't good for the people who visited Greece, while talking to some of the locals they said they dread coming to that part of Greece because it is so overpopulated and the smallest stores are charging double then what they usually are.
They also made a point to say that there are so many small towns in Greece that are even better then Santorini but no one knows about them because many people who are traveling to Europe dont know about it. You can have a peaceful time with less tourist not that far away.
This can be said for Mexico as well a few years ago Tulum was just a small part of Mexico that no one went to and know everyone try to go to Tulum because of the pictures they see. Once a new place in a country becomes popular it's not long before it becomes popular and the flights, hotels and restaurants price start to increase.
