The importance of "not planning" a trip

You will always find two people in the world when it comes to traveling, the people who need to plan every aspect of it and ones who go with the flow. Whatever happens happens kind of vibe.

As someone who has a mom who loves to plan every detail of a trip but also has a sister who wants to loosely plan things it is interesting to see how each trip pans out so differently, I am someone who likes to slightly plan a trip but not have everything planned out. Below I listed some reasons why it is beneficial to not a plan a trip to it's full extent.

The Aspect of Adventure is gone

Now, what I mean but this is of course when you are going somewhere new whether that be a state or country it is a completely different environment but if you plan everything out you miss what makes that place so special. If you book each activity down to the hour you will never have time to experience live as a local. Plan thing to the hour also becomes a problem if the weather isn't perfect that day and that person spent to much time researching plans instead of just walking around and seeing what you find.

Is the reason you went to take pictures or have fun

I have never experienced so many people coming to place solely to take pictures that was until I went to Mexico, whether that be at sunset, a fun outing or them sitting by the pool. Everyone seems like they are there to just get their likes up and I don't blame them however most people when they sit by the pool are there for a picture and not actually to go swimming. I feel as though the idea of traveling got change when social media became popular.

now you may be wondering what does that have anything to do with planning out a trip, well sometimes someone will try to find all the best instagram places and not find time to relax. Getting the instagram is important (lol) but that shouldn't be the whole trip and for me it never will be.

The people you meet on the trip can change everything

I don't know if this is just me but I have a dad who loves to talk to everyone every time we are on a trip, I guarantee you by the end of the trip that will become best friends and somehow are family ends up doing to dinner together during the stay. As much as I hated that when I was younger the older I get the more I realize there is nothing wrong with talking to someone you don't know. Clearly everyone is there for the same reason which is to relax and escape from reality and relax.

I also watched a movie recently called vacation friends in it is the same situation that you will truly never know you can meet on vacation of course for them it ended turning into something crazier then they ever thought there whole vacation changed to something Im sure they never thought they were going to experience.

No one ever aspects to find friends when they go on a trip but is that because they don't talk to anyone when they are there or because they think no one wants to talk to them.
